Second Trimester (Part 2) - MGS 2010

Really enjoying my 2nd trimester... Good time to do all the shopping & walking... We even signed up & went for our church Marriage Growth Seminar 2010 in dec.. Tis round, there were many couples fr our region... It was indeed a great time... Both pin & i learnt alot... It's oso my last overseas trip b4 i can go for another one in a long long time....

Second Trimester

Into my 2nd trimester. Things are getting better. Nausea & vomitting are reducing. Going to work is less of a hassle & painful event. During the 1st tri, i had to travel to & fro work by cab. It was quite costly. Of coz at this stage, no one on the train or bus will know or notice that I need a seat. So I had to just 'tahan' lor...

Weeks after weeks, I looked forward to my gynae appointment. Not only can I know about BB's progress, it's also a chance for us to 'meet' BB. It's just so amazing to see how BB develop & grow. We had to scheduled our apppointments on Sat, even though the clinic is pretty near my workplace which I could actually go on a weekday. However, going on a weekday means Pin gotta take leave all the time. Pin wanted just as much to go with me for the appointment to 'meet' BB & to know about her progress.

Oh ya, have I mentioned the gender?? It's a girl!!! Both of us were overjoyed.. Upon knowing that it's a girl, we started to do some shopping. Oh goosh, there are just sooo many girly & nice clothes, shoes, accessories, etc for girls. Receiving many advices from different ones, we held back our shopping spree. We looked around for the bigger & more 'important' items. Pram, was one of those items. We shopped so many times, looking around for the best valued, yet to our liking. Went from shopping centres to baby fair, still couldn't settle on one. Finally, we kinda fix on a particular model fr Combi. With a target, my research was made easier. I tried to do some price comparison fr the different retail shops & online. Finally, I managed to get it online at a pretty good price and was delivered to our house. Thank God for that!

Slowly, more other items added on. There were many blessings from different ones as well. Clothing, bedding items, etc. Some were new, while some were hand-me-down but in gd condition.

First Trimester

There wasn't any nausea or discomfort in the beginning. In fact, I noticed that my appettite had grew. I was delighted, thinking that I was one of those fortunate ones to not have 'morning sickness'.

This took a turn at week 6. Nausea & vomitting kicks in. I lost my appettite. I began to be very sensitive to certain smell & food. I'm losing weight. Despite having no appettite, I had to eat, even a little.

This lasted till I reached week 13/14. The 1st trimester was really tough. At that moment, I had thoughts like why do I have to go through such things, why did I get myself into this... Looking back, I felt so silly. Hee....

Oh one thing, I had to thank my mother-in-law for taking leave to take care of me a few days, during the time I had to be home resting. Also, my sis, EW, my mum & sis eunice for making time to help get food for me during that period. Of coz not forgetting Pin... He had to specially rush back during lunchtime to get food for me & to spend some time with me. I really appreciate so much!!!

Thank God for carrying me through & for bringing providing the help when I most needed!

Weeks of Uncertainties

We were scheduled to go back for another check in 2wks time. Oh my, this 2wks seems so long & far...

However, the following wk came, I had to go back even before the 2wks coz there was staining again. My gynae gave me a wk of mc to rest at home, together with some med to stabilise the pregnancy. This really worries us. I was sad but there's nothing that I could do. Pin & I bagan praying & committing all to God.

The staining episode didn't just end after a wk. That national day weekend, we had to make a visit to the TMC 24hr clinic as there was staining again & was more. The gp at the clinic gave my gynae a call & was instucted to give me jab. We went home after that & returned to see my gynae the next morning. Hence, it was another wk of mc. My gynae was still joking that baby doesn't like mummy to work hence, the moment I went back to work staining again. The wk after, I took leave to con't to rest at home.

Praise the Lord!!! Things got better subsequently.

First Gynae Visit

That very day after we had tested, I called up my gynae's clinic to try to fix an appointment for check & confirmation. The nurse asked several questions & we I told her that there were spotting a few days ago, she asked if I could see the gynae that afternoon. I was a little worried. I gave Pin a call & he too took urgent leave to accompany me for the appointment.

We were excited and yet apprehensive. Finally, it was our turn to see the gynae. She asked several questions & subsequetly did a scan of my womb. We saw something that resembles a young feotus. Due to the early stage & staining after the run, my gynae told us 3 scenarios, ranging from most likely to least likely - feotus still very young, hence explained the small size; feotus had stopped growing; what we see fr scan was not the feotus (i.e. feotus is outside the womb - etopic pregnancy). We were both worried upon hearing such news. I was given a few days of mc to rest at home & some medication.

On our way home, I was very quite. My mind was just filled with what my gynae had said. I was so worried till I broke down. Pin had to console & comfort me. I know in my heart that he too must be worried too.

The Discovery

Just few days before I tested, I still went for a 5km run - Shape Run 2010. This was on 25 July 2010 (July). I still remembered the day before the run, we were at Kirk & Hayley's wedding. I was still discussing with my sis, Dor & Karen whether to go for the run or not. Nonetheless, we all still woke up early & went for the run. I enjoyed the run so much coz 5km is so manageable. But not knowing that I'm already pregnant. Haa....

That night , we met up with Ron & June for dinner. My stomach wasn't feel too gd & there was abit of staining. I thought it was my usual cramp & stuff. Hence, I had left it as it was. Until 3 days later......

BLESSING.. New Life!!

Yup, i've been out of action for quite awhile... HOw long?? Uhmm since June bah...

What had happened?? Well, something good.. something really good had happened... Pin & myself are so blessed.. with a new life... a BABY!!! We had planned & have been trying... So finally, God hears & blesses at His right time...

We got to know it on the great news on 28 July 2010 (Wed) when we felt that something is not right & I finally decided to test it out...

Here's the results:

Pin & i were soo delighted, yet atonished... I didn't know what to do.. Called up my cousin to share with her the great news & she said can call up the gynae to arrange for an appt for a check... It was time for us to get ready for work.. We both went to work... I couldn't hide my joy at all... Was beaming the entire day...

It seems like yesterday when I recall the smiles & laughters on our wedding day... these sweet moments will always be in our hearts as we carry on walking together...

Hooray! It's our 2nd year anniversary!! We've agreed to be on leave today to celebrate this day.. This round, didn't go back to our wedding hotel... Coz pin has class at night, we went to for lunch instead... at Chatterbox...

After lunch, we went 313 for shopping... Pin is looking for a sweater for our upcoming trip.. Look at his satisfied grin... heee...

Yes, it's another year with greater wisdom... As usual, pin & i took leave to spend some time tgt... Started our day... waiting for bus...

We had our lunch at M hotel... It was a complimentary lunch, blessed by my cousin... Food spread not very fantastic... But of coz, its not the food that matters, it's the company...

Then we headed to suntec as we needed to utilise a voucher... finally managed to get sth that we both like.... tired fr all the shopping, we took a rest & some juice at a kiosk...

Crazee way to end the week - with Crazee Beez

I was just abt to clean my doorstep... To my horror, i saw many bees flying around... Initially, i wasn't sure what they are... Bees or those big flying ants (those that only appears after rain)... as they were flying around the light outside my hse... Took out my specs & had a closer look - they are bees... I quickly closed my door... Not knowing what to do, I called the NPP... They took down the details, got back to me & said that they've directed this matter to the town council... Good thing they didn't ask me to call myself, else... haa... anyway, this shd be the way - the No Wrong Door policy...

Unsure when town council will response, I called the town council up to check... as there were more & more bees flying all around... Must realli thank God, juz when pin was abt to reach home, these bees began to gather & form a nest around the light... This made it easier for pin to come into the house... Truly, God knows the best & He has everything in control...

Shortly after, the pest control guy came... After he had analysed the situation, he got down to work... Next, u see all the bees dead on the floor...

Once again, we are soo privilege to be care-takers of ah kia... together with ah kia, we ventured several a few places - rochor beancurb & coffee club at marina @ keppel... marina @ keppel was great... pin & i spend abit of time there, enjoying the breeze & scenery... i realli tat... soo relaxed & carefree...

on one of the nights, we went little bali for dinner.... veri nice ambience... a great place for chill-out... food wise, ok la... we brought mi2 & hu2 on a car ride oso.. geez...

Somehow tis round we went to mustafa a few trips.. perhaps coz tis the onli place with nite shopping... haaa...

2009 ended with ah kia bringin us to watchnite... then home to watch fireworks & finally supper at pasir panjang - prata...

The idea of cooking ourselves came fr pin... & we invited ew & bibi to join in the fun.. we did some planning & shopping... Chef for main course - Pin & Bibi... Chef for salad & side dishes - Me... Table setting cum waitress - Me again... Oops.. how abt EW?? No worries... Cleanning party - Pin & EW...

it was great fun!!! the nite ended wif a late nite movie - Sherlock Holmes.

Several weeks ago, shortly after my division director announced that she's leaving, i kena arrowed to organise a performance item with another colleague (i'm to play the guit).. haiz... this colleague fr another dept, roped in 2 other girls to sing.. suddenly i got news that the of us suppose to be the emcee for the farewell party as well... arrgh... so many things to do... i've been working late past few weeks all coz of the practices & preparation.... so glad tat the day finally came - today... & that all things went well... no wrong chords played... heee.... thank God!!!

Yes, n we arranged to check-in on 29th Aug 09, exactly 1yr 5mths from our wedding day.. Initial room given was facing the kallang side, not much view.. However, we were so blessed to be given a complimentary upgrade to a room facing the flyer... Thanks God! This upgrade is worth $50 man.. The room didn't have the woah effect..........

But the toilet is like... sooo... big & nice....

And the view from 25 floor is soo beautiful...

Sunday, was a gloomy day... Raining so heavily... Couldn't go for a swim again... We walked around the hotel & sat at the lobby for a chat... It was great... So free & relaxing!!!

A couple were crossing the bridge at telok blangah rise when the handsome young man noticed that there's a civil defence fire fighting vehicle, with areas cordon off & reporters taking pics... As usual, human are always curious.. The handsome young man went over to take a look while the pretty young lady waited at the bridge.. Soon, he was back & told her that a unit was burnt, pretty bad n asked her to go over to take a look... Wah, its realli kinda bad... the unit above oso kenna the soot.... Today's breakfast was prepared by me... The moment i opened my eyes, had plans to make omelette for b'fast... Dragged myself out of the bed.. prepared the eggs & saugages... Den went downstairs to get bread, milk & newspaper... While pin was still in the bed.. Decided to let him sleep in abit more coz he's tired fr the past few nites of studying... Within minutes, b'fast was ready... Quickly do some washing of the dishes.. Tgt wif pin, we had our sumptuous b'fast... It was a great time... I love spending time tgt over b'fast..

anyway, dun care... still gonna do some updates.. coz its realli been a long time since i updated.. latest events tat happened during this wkend... my ex-cg came to our plc for a simple dinner.. great time of fellowship... miss them man.. sat mornin, pin went to get newpapers while i prepared simple b'fast... flipping thru the papers lookin for hp hot deals fr singtel... disappointed, but expected... nonetheless, we still headed to a Hello shop..& we bought a new hp... yippee... its SAMSUNG... still learning to use it... yeap, we got the same fone & learning tgt.. haa... nite came & was at dorcas plc for food & fun... sun morning, missed the svc.. waited for pin & my mil to come home wif my lunch... prepared dinner in the late aftn & had dinner while watchin the NDP parade... we had invited my mil to stay over at our place on sun nite coz tml is her bday... shane came along later in the nite... wah, u wouldn't believe this... i woke up at 8+ to get ready to go for excercise wif ron & jun... it was still drizzling so i had to drag myself out of the bed, while pin is still comfortably tugged under the blanket.. but no regrets... coz it was a good 2hr plus spent, wif ron & june...

ok, part fr these, i'm still as sian wif my work as b4... arrghhh....

I know i'm kinda missing from my blog... but i'm not gone... tinking & finding time to update it... geez... no access to blog in office... & usually lazy to use the comp in the room....

life still quite the same... not much excitement tho.... went for my medical review not long ago... thank God, the nodule is smaller... i told the doc tat i prayed veri hard for it... hee.... so he arranged for me to go back a yr later for a scan & review...

recently, kinda miss my good frens around me.... suddenly felt havnt been catchin up wif them for the longest time... feel so bad.... not sure they feel the same way tho... hee... but the prob wif me is i dun realli haf the habit of calling people... i noe it's kind of bad of me.... but its really hard... perhaps it runs in my fam... haa.... like my mum hardly call me unless there's something she neds to tell me, vice-versa... in fact, pin & my mil calls each other more often ya.... oh God, pls help me to kick this bad habit away, before i loses all my gd frens....

Its been some time since i last updated my blog... Busy... With work... Year-end closing, audits, reportings, system testing, the list goes on & on.... Do noe tat i'm not the only one, for at least pin is juz as busy wif his work too.... In the midst of my busy work, i'll still try to work out some time to cook... Heee... Did 2x tis wk.... Rem my tis yr's resolution??? Haaa..... But tis wk's cooking didnt turn out as well.... Perhaps its due to the stressful mood tat i'm in.... Nvm, will try again... Pin, pls bear with me... geeez.....

Another thing was, tis lousy electric kettle tat we have.... its spoilt... yes, in less than a yr.... not sure wat exactly happen tho... Tues morning, was boiling water... Juz when it brewed, 'tuck' and fr the corner of my eye, i saw a spark.... Then it tripped the electricity....

Haaa, of coz its not mine... Its my sis's.... But i'm juz as excited... Hee.... We reached at at abt 9am... MUA & photographer were not there yet (tis usual).... So we had our b'fast.... At abt 930am, my sis started wif her make-up... & the day began.........

It ended at abt 7+pm.... Not too late tho.... But can tell EW was dead tired.... Bibi was juz as tired... So do i... Onli felt it when I was home... Legs were so 'suan'....

Saturday's Lunch

Woke up with excitment... coz I'm heading to bt merah central ntuc to get my ingredients for lunch later... Eh, again nothing much.... Tired to cook fishball + meatball soup.... The thing I'm proud of is, I tot of how to make the soup base & how to make the meatball.... Wahahhaa... Of coz i confirmed my tots with my mum & my walkin recipe book.... Tink my theory realli not bad....

Pin wanted macaroni instead of rice, so i cook tat to go with my soup.... The soup is yummy... Pin agreed too... Geez... Uhmm the meatball was a little to blend... Nvm, will perfect it the nx round... Tink tis quite a gd & quick 1 dish meal to whip up.... Coz got meat, fishball (pin's fav) & vege + soup (pin's fav as well).... no salt oso....

There's actually class tonite for pin... But he had decided to give it a miss so as to spend his nite with me, celebrating his bday... After work, I met him at tiong bahru plaza... He had no idea where I was bringin him to... We hopped on the bus & headed to havelock rd... Yes, our dinner location is Grand Shanghai...

After handing the comp to pin, i did some hsework... Tis has kinda become part of me... Cleanliness freak?? Not tat bad, but i do like the hse to b clean n tidy...

It started rainin heavily in the evening... Thank God, the rain stopped by abt 5+... We prepared & left home...

We took a cab & headed for our dinner location... The place where we held our wedding dinner... Traders Hotel... Had a complimentary buffet dinner at the Cafebiz... Before the dinner, we went to the ballroom to take a look.... The fond memories started pouring into our minds...

Tis morning, we woke up at our usual working timing... coz we're visiting another church (gg for the earlier svc)... heee... 1st time to tis church... Worship was pretty ok... The svc structure is alittle different tho.... Oh, message preached was on husbands/men giving the due respect to wife/women & to honor them.... wahahaa.... In my heart, i tot.... RINGGGGG..... Alarm rang, eyes wide open.... "Pin, wakey.... Ned to start our our cleaning early..." Well, he was alittle irritated intially tho we had long agreed to spring clean today.... as he cant stand it when i keep rushing him.... heee..... soon he's ok....

we changed the guest rm arrangement & gaved the comp table cupboard a wipe... cleaned the living rm & 2 bedrms windows + grills... washed all the blinds, 2 fans and ceiling fan... wiped the tv console & shoe rack top.... changed n washed our bedsheets...

1st of all muz realli thank God for the great weather... & that the shift was smooth and accident-free... geez.... half-way in the thru, there was a little drizzle... i prayed so hard for God to hold the rain.. true enuf, the drizzle stopped.... do not belittle the power of prayer...

2ndly, muz gif a big thanx to all those who had helped... pin's family, SJ, Jesx, my BK... even my family, tho didnt helped in the actual moved, they were helping to clean up the hse & getting it ready for sat's move, till pretty late on fri.... oso to help clean again & unpack some of the clothes & shoes on sun...

So... we finally stayed there for the 1st time on sat nite.... after dinner, we saw some 'uninvited guests'... & our battle began.... ended up sleeping at abt 2+... both of us were dead tired... not sure if our enemies were finally defeated & totally driven out... planning to do it again tis wkend so as to realli clean up.... Nonetheless, we wanna thank God for blessing us with tis hse... & cont to pray & believe tat He'll guard over us & the hse....

Immediately the nx day we came back... We had our HDB 2nd appt.... Finally, gotten our hse keys liao... Hooray!!!

Well, reno had started last thurs.... Yest'd was a long & hectic for both of us... Pin & i went straight to our new hse.... Bought some food for the painting worker... Wahahhaa... Hoping tat they'll do a good job... Geez... Had our brunch den head straight to Audio Hse to finalise some measurements of our fridge & w/machine... From there we went Balestier to get our ceiling fan... Thanks Mami for the ceiling fan... Then we went to tis electical shop at Bt Timah to get our electrical appliances... Did all our homework... Made all the price comparisons between the different shops, tis seems to give us the best price & service.... Thanks Karen for your recommendation....Bought our fridge, w/machine & standing fan from there... Thanks so much to all my cousins - Daibiu, Ebiu, Sum Biu & Biu Kor for blessing us with a fridge... Finally, we went imm to get our bathroom accessories... Didnt realli wanna change initially, but on 2nd tots, since we're gonna use the bathroom pretty often, better to change to nice, new ones... So end up, our bathroom seemingly cost the most man...

Lastly, wanna oso thank my Ma (aka MIL or Pin Ma) for blessing us with a sofa... One tat both pin & i realli like... & its L-shaped... Hee...

Ok, muz realli thank God for all the blessing from the different ones... It realli helped us tremendously....

Toking abt health, dunno wat happen to me these few mths... hasnt been feeling well... having nausea, vomit & freq headaches... at times are real bad till i cant work... started 2 mths ago.... last mth alone was on MC for 4days & took 1day leave coz not well... juz tis wk, vomitted on wed... & took time-off to go home rest... tis kinda worries me.... oh b4 i con't, in case u tink i'm pregnant... i'm not.... hahhahaa.... but tats the thing, den dunno wats happenin to me... haf seen GP... but onli got pain killers.... perhaps, age is catching up.... or perhaps, its due to hormones change, stress... i'm not sure either.... so now i'm tryin to do things slow & take things easy..... haf oso decided to go c a specialist.... pray tat i'll b ok n doc is able to pin-point wats wrong wif me...

Pin & i had been looking ard for tv... tis part of our homework... to compare specs, prices & deals...

Today is the last day for Commex fair... after much discussion, pin & i decided to go for it after church service... finally, we bought a 32" tv.... & wat amazes me is, pin & i actually took a train back with the tv... we walked fr suntec to cityhall, took the train till tiong bahru & walked home... stylo rite... thank God we made it home earlier, else we mayb caught in the rain....

we're both getting more & more excited....

and see, pin's hand ended up like tis..... So, one item off the list... Thanks so much for the gift, Papa & Mami!!! a great gift indeed...

Was realli excited when we 1st got the hse.... still is... but now the cost of renovation, furnishings, etc are setting in.... so getting kinda stress financially... tho tryin to keep the reno minimal, still not cheap man.... but my parents' view is, if wanna do, better to do wats required now.... dunno how... now still getting quotes from different contractors to compare prices....

Our furnishings, have also tried to keep to wats necessary... even additional tv for the mst bedroom oso put on hold.... wahhahaa.... hey, can take a look at my list... remind me if i've missed out anytg... coz i'll be startin my hunt soon... of coz if u wanna make a little contribution to my new home, u're more den welcome... geez... juz let me noe....

Pin & I are so thankful tat finally our prayer is answered... on tis yr's May day, pin & i, tgt wif our family, went to the seller hse & cnf e deal.... last wed, 6/8/08, we finally went to HDB for our 1st appt... i was sick, but still we made it there to sign the docs.... tis is indeed a long awaited one.... we've been prayin for a hse in our parents area... in our desperation, we even opened our options to areas like the north-east & west... however, no matter how many times we balloted (tink we did like 7-8 times...), we still couldn't get a flat.... so finally, we've decided to stay at my aunt's plc for awhile... God has His reason for e'thing.. as we looked back, even if God had gave us a house b4 our wedding, we wld haf been struggling financially....

tho tis resale flat tat we got is not cheaper either... our savings are pretty wiped out.. really learning to be thrifty, yet not stingy... cuttin down on shoppin liao man... scared if go shoppin will end up buying redundant things... now, to buy some not so impt stuff, will think twice... thank God, my veri patient & logical hubby will be there to help me by asking 'do u realli ned it'... hahahaa... pretty sad & hard at times... but i noe its all worth it... its all for OUR HOME... i'm getting excited & counting down the daez... too bad the seller can only hand the key to us end of sep.... prayin for miracle tat she can hand us the key earlier... & pray tat all things (reno, shifting, etc..) will go smoothly....

Can't believe tat i'm tat blur.... 2wks ago, my sis installed some anti-virus software... dunno how come instead of being a help tool, it kinda became a nuisance... the ms docs became a little weird... so we didnt to reformat the laptop.... i tot i've got all my wedding stuff in the D: drive... so happily gave the green light to reformat the laptop.... its was onli days after, den i realised, all my wedding prep stuff are ALL GONE..... i've even gotten all of them organised into proper folders, all ready to be burnt into a CD to keep as memento.... now, all my prep photos of the different stages & events, prep spreadsheets, etc are gone.... tho yest'd went thru my email, managed to recover some of the spreadsheets, still the photos are alot others are like no more.... both pin & myself are veri sad... but wat to do.... to look on the bright side, all these are & will alwaz be kept in our body harddisk.... =)

i alwaz tot iTs ridiculous to try to catch hsefly wif your bare hands....

last mon nite.... pin & i reached home.... we saw tis insect tat was flyin ard in our room & realised tat it was a hsefly.... a commando hsefly... coz it can fly veri fast.... usually i dun bother abt hsefly unless it gets near the food.... however, it can be veri irritating to haf dem in ur bedroom flyin ard.... i tried to use something to ward it out... but in vain.... pin started tryin to use his hands to catch... i said he's ridiculous.... how can he ever catch it.... to our surprise, pin did it while the hsefly was on the bed.... we were both atonished.... pin was gg to get a tissue to take it away, while i took out my hp, tryin to take a pic of it.... suddenly it kinda woke up & fly away again.... urrrgh.... we should haf quickly grab it & throw away.... so now, its still somewhere in the room, flyin ard.... wahahhaa.....

Home & had a good bath wif scrub... managed to come home early coz i wasnt in office today... but tat doesnt mean i wasnt workin yah.... i'm now working on tis assignment... coz of tis, i had the opportunity to visit the southern islands.... didnt visit all tho... we set off fr marina south pier... after an hr's boat ride, we finally reached pulau hantu kechil, then pulau hantu besar (which is very near to each other)... from here, we went on to the small sister's island... we even climbed up to see the water tank.... coz we tot it's realli a rare opportunity.... geez.... veri high hor.... we saw campers on the island too... oh, big sister's island is just opposite, but we didnt went on it... by tis time, its abt 12plus... we proceeded to kusu island, where we'll be settling our lunch at the temple... we were served wif fried rice, followed by fruits... to our surprise, the fried rice was pretty good... other den the famous temple & turtles tat we had seen, we had oso climbed up to take a look at the kramat (malay shrine)... on our way up, we actually saw tis huge monitor lizard.... yuckzzzz..... our last stop was st john's island... there're bungalows (wif aircon) & some holiday camps (its actually like dorms lah) for rent.... the place is veri quiet & scenic... in fact, the few islands tat we've went today, are veri quiet & peaceful.... oh yah, tis the boat tat we took for the entire day.... & tis the team from my coy... finance & ops....

its great to be finally back onto the main land.....

1st was 'xiao qiang'... nx was....

juz 2 days ago, fri nite... back from care grp... had our shower... josh went on the comp wif his game while i was on the bed, leaning against the wall, wif pillows stacked... watching my hk drama.... it was past 1am... suddenly pin turned, looking at my direction & said... ITS SO BIG..... immediately i turned & to my horror, i saw tis big, black lizard on the wall, juz right next to my stack of pillows.... i quickly jumped off the bed, yet trying my veri best to keep a low key so as not to alert the lizard... my instinct told me to pull the bed away fr the wall & grab all the pillows... frankly, i was too shocked to tink of wat to do... my brain was freezed... pin said to get hot water but we cant splash water... so he said to get him some newspaper.... pin got hold of the papers & i asked him to aim to hit right at the head.... & he did it.....

it was such traumatic nite....

645am, pin’s alarm rang… I was awoken & in my half conscious state, I turned to pin’s side… fr e corner of my eye, I saw something on his pillow moved… I tot my eyes were playing tricks on me as our bedsheet has many checks…. However, on 2nd tot, pin’s pillow case is plain and when I saw it moved again, I knew something is not right…. Immediately I sprang off fr e bed & switched on the lights… grab a piece of paper & told pin softly tat there’s a cockroach right below his pillow… so as not to alert it... he got up, tried to catch but missed.. it slipped away… & reappeared… pin missed again… it got onto the floor… I quickly grabbed the insecticide & sprayed… pin missed Again & it got under the cupboard… by tis time, I got a little frustrated coz pin juz cant seems to catch it…. But again I tot, its not his fault, so I tried to cool down… finally pin managed to catch it under the cupboard…

its coming to abt 2mths since i'm married.... life will never been e same.... now gotta do hsework... every wkend, gotta find time to clean the floor, wash clothes... when there's sun, quickly get the clothes out to get dry.... juz feel like its a neverending task to wash clothes.... after washin, still gotta find time to iron... oh man, tis the kind of life my mum haf been living for the past dunno how many yrs.... thanx mum!!! oh & thank God, for pin tat he'll help me wif cleaning the floor & washing e toilet... & he'll wash e bowls after meals, while i can do some other stuff.... good thing no ned to cook.... geez.... the best thing i feel now is there's freedom... no one to ask me to go bathe or clean my room.... hope tat life will be even better after we've our own nest....

Sob Sob.... we put in so much time & effort... den e silly website onli keeps it for 28days after wedding... else gotta pay to extend or purchase a cd wif e website in it... but nt cheap yea.... good thing, pin copied every page & saved it.... so at least we can still keep it as momento.... hehehee... thanx pin!

Its 13days after my wedding... Back from honeymoon... Back to work.... Back to reality....

Glad tat the wedding is over... there's like so much to prepare... however, like many haf told me... enjoy the process.... truly, i enjoyed the process.... tho there were times we squabbled over the tiniest matter.... its still fun... with the many help rendered by different ones... family, friends... we felt so blessed.... wanna thank God for the great weather & the entire day's events... coz pin & i had been prayin veri hard for no rain.... for the day's event to run smoothly... & for guests to be punctual.... I remembered, when the day was coming to an end.... i actually felt sad... sad tat the wedding is coming to an end.... afterall the many mths of prep, juz 1 day & its over... i'll b back to normal san again... the plain jane (joc).....

suddenly different ones have been asking me "hows ur wedding prep comin along??" "all done & prepared?" well, my answer is still "ehh... ok lah... still tryin to get things done..." there's simply too much details to look into.... esp, when u have a church wedding & dinner... its crazy, so much stuff.... juz abt a mth back, i was realli nervous.... coz tat time, there was realli alot of things not done.... & they are like big ticket items... so juz within a mth, we got our invitation cards for both church & dinner, caterer for church, wine for dinner, bedding stuff, honeymoon confirmed... so now we're left the loose details to tie up.... like gettin ang bao box for church, wrist corsages for my entourage, confirm the namelist & start writing & sending out the invitation cards &..... uhmm wat else?? so many more..... till i cant rem.... hahhaa....

wedding is always the 1st time for e'one (else, most of us)... & there're so many things u might overlook.... so i realli thank God for the frens around.... ever so willing to help, volunteer their service & remind us of the different things!!!

"This is her VERY LAST

- year she is ENTITLED to take ang bao for cny (good for me, next yr i saving two ang bao.. haaaa..)

& I've oso received some sms wishes such as

"last bday as a single.... few more yrs to e digit 3 (hehhee... cant put her how many yrs...)...."

Was indeed veri happy to haf rec'd many wishes fr my frenz... yet, all these msgs kinda gave me some mixed feelings.... Uhmmm, but life still gonna b pretty the same after married rite.... Frenz out there, i can still join u guys for meals, movies, shopping, chill-outs, etc.... so do count me in yah!!! (perhaps at times, for some watever reasons, i cant... pardon me k!!!)

well, thurs nite had a little celebration wif bibi & my biu kor @ this korean bbq rest along pasir panjang.... food is good... price is nt cheap, but its usu for korean rest.... svc, so-so onli.... geez....

tat veri nite, pin came to my plc... bought me a BJ burger (sth different) to celebrate my bday wif me at 12sharp...

i was on leave yest'd... for once, i can successfully take leave on my bday to relax, enjoy & pamper myself... we went to mit up wif some florist person in the morning, but shez like so irresponsible... anyway, nvm... den pin & i went to com ctr for lunch... i had my usu bbq chicken set... the stupid sizzling splattered all over me.... & i felt so dirty... contemplating whether to go home to change... but pin says there wldnt b enuf time for us to shop... thank God for my sling bag... used tat to cover myself... geez.... tis didnt realli spoil my day tho... we went ard shoppin... i got nothing, but pin ended up gettin sth... i was a little disappointed nt having to get anytg, but it didnt upset me.... came home in the evening to get changed for our dinner... & headed straight to kushinbo for our jap buffet.... wow, we stayed there for like almost 3hrs.... muz eat to our hearts content... hehhee...

juz as i tot my day is endin soon.... i got a surprise when i reached home... a huge surprise... these guys (joel & amos) risked their lives... not fearing of suffocation... hid in my room juz to gif me a surprise wif a bday cake... its durian cheese cake... my 1st bday cake tis yr... hehehe... thanx guys... for all the effort & coordination put in... realli appreciate & touched... & of coz, my sis is in it too.... shez the camera person.... hehhee...

Well its a new year... new beginning... Even if there are any unachieved stuff, move on... Aim to achieve in the new year... And set new resolutions again... Come to tink of it, there's no unachieved resolutions tat come to my mind at the moment ... Hahahaa... coz i didnt set any... Basically, i dun usually set resolutions for fear tat i cant get to do it... whahaha....

Wat a way to welcome the new year... I had a nite mare last nite... dreamt that e'thing on my wedding day went wrong... my Jie Meis are late... wat more, my MUA is late too... unapologetic still... then my future MIL & family juz woke up went we reached there... alamak!!! So scary till i gotta wake myself up... Told pin tis morning... & he said "Silly gal!!!"

Thank God its juz a dream... Frens, pls dun be late for my wedding k!! Whether u're helping out in on way or another, or juz joining us in our wedding celebration... U're part of the wedding party!!!

i've realli nt been updating my blog for quite awhile man.... bz?? uhmm... ok la... still manageable... prob coz haf been too lazy to log on the comp after work... its like after a long day at work facing e comp... so juz wanna laze at home... hehehee....

but e yr seems realli short... haf been bz adjusting to my new work plc for the past 7mths... & doin some preparations for my wedding recently... coz its like realli drawing near... geez.... still couldnt get our own hse tho... but thank God for the rent-free plc which my cousin had offered... so at least we dun ned to get tentage yah...

2day is exactly 3mths fr our wedding date.... was wanting to register online for our wedding date, but no printer & dun haf our solemniser's licence no... alamak rite.... so prob gotta do it on another day...

tis mth managed to mit up wif different ones... vivi, sam & ling late last mth... jesx, b4 her trip... wif hj, lori, steph & alex b4 christmas to haf our little christmas pinic... ling & qi juz now... i suppose, as u grow a little nt so young, u'll realli like to rest more... & appreciate mtg up wif the different frens to do some catching up.... realli wanna thank God for all these frens... of coz there're a whole lot more... will slowly mention.... dun worry... geez.....

my 40 photos didnt juz stopped there... coz there werent any photos for our kua.... i felt alittle wasted... so e nx day i called my bridal studio up... to tell dem i wanna add a few more pics... pin & i had discussed.. both of us knew in our hearts the max no. photos we wanna add... & tats 4.... we could nego for lower price unless we add at least 10pics... in end we selected 5 extras... & we wanna remove 1 fr the 40.... but they say cant coz e colour were adjusted... uhmm still dun quite understd e logic tho... anyway i insisted tat i dun wan... in e end, they say will include tat for free... kept to our target still... realli thank God tat we could withstand e temptation all the seemingly fantastic deals to add more & more photos....

We reached abt 230pm... stayed till abt 730... oooo.... tats like abt 5hrs... hahhaa.... yest, pin & myself, tgt wif bibi, ew & jesx was at our bridal studio lookin & lookin thru the 600 odd photos... pin & i took like an hr to go thru 1 round of all e pics... its realli not an easy task to choose onli 40 out of the many pics.... we gotta b hard & firm... we were pretty stringent even during our 1st cut... down to 200 odds pics... den the 2nd cut to abt 100 odd... thanx to u guys... who were so hard on us.... the last cut to 40 was the toughest & the most painful... there were many pics which i like but juz gotta gif it up.... tho pin did suggest toppin up... we did it.... & kept to 40.... so glad yet sad... on my way home, i was feeling sad... images of our pics kept flashing in my mind... well, to pay for more pics or to keep to the number of pics we haf... it's realli up to how u look at it...

NO GOVT in office 2day... geez... had a slightly longer lunch... met vivi & jon for lunch... jon casually asked abt our hse after wedding... my reply as usual & to all... i've gt no home... the simple qn had once again stirred up some tots within me again... tinkin of all e blessings tat my frens ard me haf.... i began to tink y are e'one so blessed... n wat abt josh & i??? vivi reminded me to count my blessings... & tat my greatest blessing is having josh... which is TRUE!!!

many times, we onli focus on our worries, troubles, difficulties, adversities.... & begin to question y is life so unfair... where is God when we needed Him... there are oso many times we were blessed in big or small ways... & many times we overlooked tat.. took tat for granted.... didnt even thank Him....

FiNaLLY the much awaited day came... pin & i had been doin our little shopping to prepare for our yesterday's photo-shoot... more for him.. coz my gowns are all fr the bridal studio... so pin had a little more headache... geez... gotta see if the shirt matches my gowns... the ties matches the shirt... if shd or shd nt wear tie... blah blah... see, its nt as easy ya... as part of our preparation, i had my hair dyed & my final fitting last sun (28/10) & pin had his hair trimmed too....

i had abt 2hrs of make-up & hair-do for the 1st style... initially, we were both alittle stiff... hahhaa... but slowly it kinda got better & we're more relaxed.... the weather was fine till abt 3pm.. when we're abt to go for our outdoor shoot.... it started drizzling... i was so sad... they said probably gotta change another day... coz the sky is too gloomy & photos wouldnt turn out well... since, we had arranged wif ben & jerry & its indoor, we went ahead.... the weather became better.. so we went to marina south.... but on our way to east coast, it started drizzling.... it stopped after awhile tho.... it was pretty fun.... i didnt feel too tired thru'out the shoot except for my eyes... my eye-lids felt so heavy... after the entire shoot, i suddenly felt soo hungry & my legs were so tired.... poor pin was veri tired too... the worst thing was he had to carry me... whahahaa....

oh, i muz realli gif a BIG thanks for bibi... for being wif me for our final fit & photo-shoot...

pin & i finally had our dinner treat @ traders hotel Ah Hoi's kitchen.... i had purposely arranged it to be after our photo-shoot to kinda celebrate... hehheee... uhmm, its a long story how we got tis treat... oh & it was suppose to be at cafebiz instead... in any case, thank God for it... we had our fill... we kinda calculated & our dinner amounted to abt 150bucks.... wow!!! but it was seriously veri difficult to choose wat to eat coz e'thing are soo expensive... geez... here's some pics....
